Hydra100 - (Isı, Nem, Tuzluluk, Water Balance)

Soil Scout is a brand known for its wireless underground sensor solutions. Two main sensor models stand out: Hydra100 and Happi100. Both collect data from deep within the soil, providing vital information for smart agriculture and green area management, but they have a key difference.

Soil Scout Hydra100

 

The Hydra100 is Soil Scout's primary and long-standing wireless underground sensor model. It's designed to measure fundamental soil parameters:

Measured Parameters:

  • Moisture: Precisely measures the water content in the soil.

  • Temperature: Determines soil temperature, which is crucial for plant growth and water evaporation.

  • Salinity / EC (Electrical Conductivity): Measures the electrical conductivity of the soil, indicating nutrient salt and overall salinity levels.

 

Key Features:

  • Completely Buried and Wireless: It's invisibly placed underground and doesn't require cable connections. This prevents interference with maintenance activities and protects it from external factors.

  • Long Battery Life: Offers up to a 20-year battery life while buried underground.

  • Maintenance-Free: Once installed, it doesn't require maintenance like battery changes or calibration for many years.

  • Real-time Data: Transmits collected data at regular intervals (e.g., every 5-55 minutes) to the cloud via a Base Station, providing constant online access to the data.

  • Durable: Designed to withstand challenging underground conditions.

 

The Hydra100 is a fundamental and comprehensive solution, especially for irrigation management, fertilization optimization, and general soil health monitoring.

While the Hydra100 provides essential soil health parameters, the Happi100 adds oxygen level monitoring to this package, which is critical for plant root health. When used together, these two sensors offer a much more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the processes occurring underground, enabling proactive and efficient field management.
