Fully Buried Sensors: Uninterrupted Operations and Enhanced Protection

Fully buried sensors ensure that your turf maintenance or farm fieldwork remains undisturbed. They are unaffected by wheel pressure, athletes, golfers, wildlife, or players, and are secure against the risk of theft.

Soil Scout's "fully buried" feature is not just about ease of installation; it's a critical element for the system's long-term reliability, data accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This design offers agricultural and field management professionals a seamless and powerful "set and forget" solution.

Protection from Physical Damage:

  • Protection from Machinery: Agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters, spraying equipment), lawnmowers on golf courses, or sports field maintenance equipment can pass over the sensors. Being buried, the sensors are completely protected from crushing, breaking, or other types of physical damage.

  • Protection from Human and Animal Damage: Golfers, soccer players, park visitors, or wild animals cannot inadvertently damage the sensors. The risk of vandalism is also eliminated.

  • Protection from Weather Conditions: They are unaffected by harsh weather conditions such as extreme heat, cold, heavy rain, snow, frost, or UV rays. This ensures the longevity of the sensors' electronic components and batteries.

Uninterrupted Operational Activities:

  • Unimpeded Agriculture and Maintenance: Since the sensors are not on the surface, normal agricultural and field maintenance activities like mowing, plowing, planting, or fertilizing can continue smoothly and without interruption. There are no obstacles on the surface.

  • No Impact on Game Quality (Golf / Sports): Especially on golf courses and sports fields, the invisibility and imperceptibility of the sensors ensure that game quality is not affected in any way. They do not alter ball bounce or a player's interaction with the ground.

  • Reduced Sensor Loss / Theft: Being buried also minimizes the risk of sensors being lost or stolen.

Preservation of Aesthetic Appearance:

  • Particularly in areas with aesthetic importance such as sports fields, parks, and golf courses, the invisibility of the sensors preserves the natural and beautiful appearance of the landscape. They do not create visual clutter.
